MICRO-TECH Europe

Website Management & Continuous Development

Baggertouren

Turning heavy machinery into a digital experience.

For Baggertouren, I was responsible for the complete website – from structure and UX/UI to visual design and implementation in WordPress.

The visual direction was intentionally based on the existing KS Service brand and website to create a clear connection between the two businesses. Using this established look as a foundation, I developed the design for Baggertouren and adapted it to a very different purpose and audience.

While KS Service has a more functional and service-oriented focus, Baggertouren needed to communicate the experience itself – making operating an excavator feel exciting, accessible and easy to book.

The Design Approach

The challenge was to maintain the visual connection to KS Service while giving Baggertouren its own character.

I developed the page structure, layouts, visual hierarchy and complete responsive experience around the customer journey – from discovering the different experiences to understanding what is included and ultimately making a booking.

The result combines the industrial character of the existing brand with a more emotional and experience-driven approach.

More Than a Website

A key part of the project was integrating the commercial side directly into the experience. The website combines content, individual experiences and event offers with WooCommerce and booking functionality.

This meant considering not only how the website looks, but also how users move from initial interest to selecting and booking an experience.

KS Service & Kurt Schumacher GmbH

The project was part of a broader digital relaunch that also included the website for the sister company Kurt Schumacher GmbH / KS Service as well as the development of a dedicated webshop.

For the KS Service website, the existing visual design was retained as the foundation rather than being completely redesigned by me. As part of the relaunch, we refined and modernized the existing design, improved the overall digital experience and transferred it into a new WordPress setup while keeping the established brand recognizable.

The additional webshop extended the digital ecosystem further, creating a dedicated e-commerce solution alongside the company and Baggertouren websites.

A Collaborative Project

The websites were created as a collaborative project together with SEO specialist and Dmitry Ostrovsky – WordPress Developer ↗.

This close collaboration between design, SEO and development made it possible to consider visual design, usability, technical implementation and search visibility as connected parts of the project rather than separate disciplines.

The Result

The result is a connected digital ecosystem for the businesses: a modernized corporate website for KS Service, a dedicated webshop and a distinctive experience and booking platform for Baggertouren.

Baggertouren remains recognizably connected to the existing company brand while developing its own purpose and personality. The website transforms the established visual language into a consumer-focused experience – combining design, information, e-commerce and booking within one consistent digital journey.

VBE NRW — Website Relaunch & Rebranding

A complete website redesign and rebranding, bringing extensive content, regional structures and hundreds of events into one clear and interactive digital experience.

A complete redesign and rebranding of VBE NRW’s long-established website, transforming a large and complex platform into a modern, structured, accessible and interactive digital experience.

One of the main challenges was reorganizing the extensive amount of existing content while making regional information easier to access. VBE NRW operates across state, district, city and local associations, making a clear structure, intuitive navigation and accessibility especially important.

A major focus of the new website was the event experience. I designed the UX/UI for a comprehensive event calendar that allows users to discover relevant training sessions, workshops, seminars and other events through different filters and regional criteria. An integrated booking system creates a seamless journey from finding an event to registering for it.

Accessibility was considered throughout the UX/UI design, from clear content structures and navigation to typography, color contrasts and interaction patterns, ensuring the platform could be used by as many people as possible.

Alongside the website redesign, I developed a new visual direction for the digital presence, introducing a new color palette, typography and overall design language.

The project was developed in close collaboration with SEO and development, ensuring that the new design worked across the website’s extensive content structure while balancing usability, accessibility, discoverability and technical flexibility.
